Want to leverage your experience and Product UX Design skills working in the Computer Observability Industry for an innovative, fast-growing company?
If yes, this role might be for you: Domotz is now looking for a talented, passionate and motivated Principal Product UX Designer to join our awesome team.
Overview
The Principal Product UX Designer plays a key role in crafting intuitive and effective user experiences for our Network Monitoring & Management solution. This role focuses on end-to-end product design, including defining user flows, prototyping, testing, and iterating based on user insights. The designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex user problems and deliver impactful solutions.
In a nutshell, this position requires a balance of strong technical design expertise, user-centered thinking, and excellent collaboration skills to thrive in a dynamic and globally distributed team environment.
Overall Details
Type: Full-Time
Level: Principal (but also open to very solid Senior)
Reporting: Director of Product UX Design
Your Role & Responsibilities
* Own and execute end-to-end product design work for several in-product user experiences across our Network Monitoring & Management solutions, from concept to go-live.
* Be very hands-on in planning for and conducting a wide range of user research, (re)design, prototyping, testing, validation, measurement, and iteration activities as needed.
* Map and define user flows and intents, and how the related product experience & functionality works and appears — e.g., by crafting journey maps, product design, information architecture, user interface, interaction design, and design systems.
* Plan and run relevant usability testing and user research — informing your designs by collecting, analyzing, and translating insights from both qualitative & quantitative data.
* Influence and contribute to defining and tracking metrics around product/feature usage, experience, and performance, and use the extracted insights to iterate on data-informed product UX improvements.
* Conduct competitive research and stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, regularly incorporating insights and innovations into the product development process.
* Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and other team members at any level to create desirable, feasible, and viable product UX that solves complex user problems and drives business objectives.
* Communicate design strategy, plans, and execution progress to key stakeholders, building consensus and driving alignment.
* Advocate for and uphold user-centered design practices and principles, evangelizing related methodologies and values, and actively influencing product direction and prioritization.
* Collaborate with and mentor other designers as needed, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design culture.
Your Qualifications & Skills
* A bachelor’s degree or higher in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
* A demonstrated track record of designing and shipping complex digital software products, applications, and systems — that typically developed in 10-12+ years of professional experience, or more. Please see the How to Apply section below for hints on how we’d like to learn more on this.
* Plenty of experience being an active part of multidisciplinary product development teams, preferably using Agile methods like SCRUM or similar. You know how properly crafted user stories look like, and can actively help refining those whenever helpful.
* Excellent communication & collaboration skills — in English — with the ability to articulate design strategy, process, and decisions effectively.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to systematically gather both qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., via a range of Product Analytics tools) and translate that into insights and actionable product improvements.
* Proficiency in a variety of common Design, Prototyping, Collaboration, and Analytics tools (e.g., Figma, FigJam, Axure RP, Miro, MixPanel, Amplitude, Pendo, etc.)
* Experienced in working with teams spread across several worldwide locations. We currently have people in the EU as well as the U.S. (mostly West Coast).
* High drive, autonomy, ability to deal with conflicts, and a dynamic mindset.
How to Apply
What you read sounds exciting, and feel you got the right chops? We’d love hearing from you!
When applying, in addition to your resume kindly include a link to a brief portfolio showing at least a couple of relevant, end-to-end projects you worked on in the past — clearly outlining the problems and/or business opportunities taken on with your work, your specific responsibilities as part of a multidisciplinary team, and the impact you and your team drove. Should we proceed with further interview rounds you will have the opportunity to present and walk us through at least one of those.
Tip: other than seeing just polished UIs, we are also interested in understanding what problem-solving and user-centered approaches brought you and the team towards building certain solutions, how and why they work a certain way, and which positive outcomes those created for both end-users, customers, and the business.
What We Offer
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Opportunities for professional growth and development.
* A collaborative and innovative work environment.
* The chance to work on exciting projects with a talented team.
