We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead web development projects for major international customers. If you have a strong passion for Java and Web Applications, this role will allow you to learn and develop new skills and contribute to the growth of Cognizant Netcentric.
Your role includes:
1. Developing and maintaining enterprise-class websites with AEM
2. Leading and coaching teams of developers
3. Estimating development tasks, pointing out risks, required provisions, and limitations in the process
4. Performing regular code reviews and sharing best practices
5. Defining release strategies (including branching, Continuous Integration, and development workflows)
What we require:
1. Experience in leading Java based web projects
2. Build tools like Maven
3. Experience with SpringBoot
4. Experience with Cloud SQL (Postgres), Terraform, Tekton (GCP pipeline), Pubsub (Events), Apigee (Gateway)
5. Knowledge about cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, etc.), containerization, or microservices
6. Experience with NodeJs and GraphQL
7. Version control tools, especially Git
8. Experience developing RESTful Web Services
9. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
10. Design patterns and clean code
11. Strong capacity to identify requirements and define technical solutions
12. Functional Programming
13. Experience with Continuous Integration Tools
14. Experience integrating third-party systems
15. Solid interpersonal skills
16. Strong verbal and written English language skills
17. On-site travel is required at least 1 day per week to Dunton, UK
