Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Assurance Auditor.
The role involves conducting audits and providing assurance across internal departments (IT, Design, Procurement), joint ventures, and 2nd & 3rd party external entities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ISO standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct internal, 2nd party, and 3rd party external audits within the organization, joint venture companies, and the supply chain.
2. Audit against Information Management Systems (IMS) and ensure alignment with business processes in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
3. Monitor, support, and improve the application of business processes within the Integrated Management System.
4. Plan, coordinate, and conduct audits across enabling functions, project delivery teams, joint venture companies (DJV), and supply chain partners.
5. Perform audits in accordance with ISO guidelines for auditing management systems.
6. Prepare and distribute detailed audit reports identifying conformity or non-conformity.
7. Follow-up on audit findings by evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions and verifying evidence of corrections.
8. Continuously monitor and improve the Integrated Assurance Programme.
9. Prepare regular reports against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and root causes for senior leadership.
10. Contribute to professional development through performance reviews and training/coaching opportunities.
11. Assign roles and responsibilities to observers and subject-matter experts during joint audits.
12. Utilise a range of audit methods during combined Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management System audits.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. Lead Auditor Accreditation with experience in ISO auditing, preferably with IRCA certification.
2. Experience in construction, ideally with a delivery contractor.
3. Strong knowledge of Information Management Systems (IMS).
4. Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven ability to build strong relationships across all levels of a multi-discipline organisation.
6. Experience managing quality and assurance within a highly regulated, complex multi-disciplinary industry.
7. Proven track record of delivering audit programs in quality management systems.
8. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership teams.
9. Degree or Diploma level qualification or equivalent.
10. Membership of a relevant professional institution, such as MCQI, MIEMA, or CMIOSH.
11. Full knowledge of management system standards.
Desirable:
Experience in the Construction, Civil Engineering, or Railway Industry.
