A full-time English Teacher is required for September 2025 in our award-winning and “Outstanding Church School” (SIAMS). The post offers an excellent opportunity to teach in a flourishing and successful Church of England Academy where we prioritise the wellbeing and development of all members of our school community.Our school is heavily over-subscribed and its record in public examinations is consistently strong.
The school is seeking to appoint a committed, highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to teach English throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience or qualifications to teach English Language and/or Literature to A-level will be a definite advantage; there will be some A-level teaching for the right candidate.
The English Department is successful and is at an exciting stage in its development occupying a central place in the life of our Church School. In summer 2024, 76% of Year 11 gained at least one GCSE grade 4-9 in English, and 23% at least one grade 7-9.
