We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115per annum - depending on experience.
Hours
Monday to Friday between 08:00 17:00.
Can consider part-time working 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support of the development of junior staff
2. Oversea the administration and medicines management, working across our primary care and substance misuse wings
3. Provide health promotion advice to our men in areas such as giving up smoking, hypertension, healthy living and other minor ailments

Qualifications & Experience Required
11. NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
12. Accuracy Checking Technician qualification
13. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
14. Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
15. Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Job responsibilities
Asa GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will;
Provide outstanding qualitybased patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and actingon their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters tothem. Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuringpatient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times andensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderlystandard. Day to day management of the technicians, including work planning andresource allocation; carrying our regular supervision and appraisal forpharmacy staff including clear documentation and target setting in agreementwith the Pharmacist.
Deliver non-judgemental carewithin the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timelyadministration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing asdefined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. You will make areal difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team ofhealthcare professionals.
