Job Description
Reporting to the E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager, and working within the digital team, you will be responsible for creating, developing and optimising content across our portfolio of social media channels.
You will have outstanding creative and organisational skills, able to plan, write, design and target engaging content that motivates our customers to take action. We’re a busy team, so it’s critical that you have the ability to juggle and prioritise workloads and deadlines. Short form copy writing, design and an eye for detail is a given as is the desire to work within a high performing team. You’ll be across Facebook Business Suite, with expertise in social media advertising including posts, stories and reels, targeting, segmentation and reporting. You will have some technical background with the capability to analyse data and identify trends to aid your decision making.
Social Media is 24/7 and so are you – with a natural curiosity to check in on the performance of our posts and ads, you’ll be a notification guru, confident to respond to comments, messages and enquiries. You will have the flexibility and willingness to attend and capture evening/weekend events.
Social Media marketing is a critical growth driver for Ballantynes; as such, your ability to communicate insights from campaigns to inform the next is crucial. You’ll be all over the latest in the retail and online shopping trends with a natural appetite for all things social.
Qualifications
To be successful, it is essential for you to have a proven track record in digital content production and digital social marketing, as well as:
1. 3 years + experience in a similar social media marketing role; an agency background would be ideal
2. Marketing Degree
3. A positive attitude - self-driven and collaborative
4. Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and social management platforms
5. Excellent written English (copy-writing and communication)

This is a Full time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30 – 5pm.
