About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our skilled and supportive team as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Speech and Language Therapist with over 2 years' experience to develop their skills in working with school-aged children.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical decision-making in conjunction with school/college staff to achieve the best possible outcome for children and young people on your defined caseload.
* Working with assistants, setting targets for the children and young people they are supporting, and monitoring the delivery and outcomes of their work.
* Assessment, advice, and intervention for children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs within your caseload.
* Supporting junior members of the team, line managing others, and taking on students.
* Working in partnership with other colleagues to ensure a holistic and child-centered approach to identifying and meeting children and young people's needs.
Requirements
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and a minimum of 2 years' experience working as an SLT.
* Registration with the HCPC and RCSLT, and permission to work in the UK.
* An understanding of the English education system, including the National Curriculum and SEND code of practice.
* Enthusiasm to support the development of the team and service.
* Experience of leading and supporting others, including newly qualified therapists, assistants, students, work experience placements.
* A range of evidence-based interventions used to support children and young people.
About the Team
We are a large team of over 160 qualified therapists and non-qualified therapy assistants working in mainstream and specialist provisions through primary, secondary, and colleges. We have excellent supervision and CPD models, a rolling in-house training program, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.

* A competitive starting salary of £40,761 per annum, based on 36 hours per week across 42 weeks a year (equivalent to a Band 6 NHS post).
