An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Gastroenterology department at the Royal Free Hospital.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive administrative and clerical service is provided to the Gastroenterology department, working with a team of administrative and clinical staff to oversee the patient pathway from referral to treatment, along with other administrative duties.
The role involves building effective working relationships with clinical staff, having regular contact with patients, and a key attention to detail. It is an exciting opportunity to be involved administratively in upcoming projects within the department, including the expansion of services.
The post holder would be responsible for overseeing outpatient waiting times and patient pathways, assisting the operational manager in implementing appropriate action to mitigate breaches, ensuring pathway coordination in accordance with Trust policy, and to be aware of and support national targets, including DM01, RTT, and cancer, and internal Trust/Divisional performance (via LUNA and PowerBI).

Education and professional qualifications
* RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
