Take a closer look at the role: Job description: This role is perfect for someone newly qualified or with up to two years post qualified experience. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing the tax affairs of the organization. The Tax Manager will ensure compliance with tax regulations, oversee tax planning, and provide expert advice to the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of UK and international tax legislation, be proactive in identifying tax efficiencies, and be able to work collaboratively across departments. What you will be doing: Support the Head of Tax in managing all aspects of the company's tax compliance and reporting obligations. Work with the tax assistant to pull together the information required for advisors to prepare the tax returns for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. Provide advice on tax implications for transactions and business structuring. Assist in the implementation of tax strategies aimed at maximizing tax efficiencies. Manage relationships with external advisors and ensure timely responses to tax queries. Monitor and advise on changes in tax legislation to assess potential impacts on the company. Provide training and updates to internal teams on tax-related matters and best practices. Support the Head of Tax in leading tax audits and reviews conducted by tax authorities. Support junior team members Requirements Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor (or equivalent). Proven experience in a tax manager role. Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and international tax principles. Experience in tax compliance, planning, and advisory. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to different stakeholders. Proficiency with tax software and MS Office applications. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
