Background to The Brain Charity
Life for any of us can change in an instant. Experiencing a road traffic accident, a major stroke or being diagnosed with dementia can happen unexpectedly and can change our lives forever.
There are hundreds of different neurological conditions including stroke, brain tumour, brain injury, Alzheimer’s and many rarer conditions.
Role summary
The overall purpose of the role of Fundraising Assistant is to bring about tangible and positive change to the lives of people with neurological conditions by raising funds to support the charity’s work. This includes:
1. Generating charitable income from trusts and foundations by researching funding opportunities and writing compelling funding applications.
2. Supporting the wider fundraising team with data collection and administration to ensure all fundraisers and donors are stewarded and thanked appropriately and that new opportunities are logged promptly.
