What skills and experience we're looking for
We would like to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and committed individual to the temporary post of SEND teacher to cover maternity leave. The ability to teach science is desirable, but above all we are looking for a talented educator with a big heart who shares our commitment to excellence and achieving the very best for all our pupils. This Fixed Term Contract is to start in November for one year or until the substantive post holder returns.
We are looking for someone who has the desire and ability to:
• Teach Science ideally
• Help our pupils to progress well, achieve and enjoy their learning
• Work in partnership with others including parents/carers and multi-agency teams
• Create innovative curriculum and teaching plans
• Deliver challenging and exciting learning
• Contribute positively to the work of the team and the development of Rise@GHC

Rise@GHC is a specialist resource provision for learners with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and other related special educational needs. The centre is part of Garth Hill College but operates in dedicated buildings within a short walk/drive from our main site. NAS autism accreditation was awarded in 2024.
