This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee payroll operations, manage a small team, and contribute to the efficient delivery of payroll services across multiple schedules and pension schemes.Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
* Collaborate with an outsourced provider for payroll processing and maintain in-house systems.
* Lead and develop a small team, promoting efficiency and high standards.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including HMRC and pension regulations.
* Provide accurate data to support financial reporting and reconciliations.
* Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience managing complex payroll operations with variable pay elements.
* Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and formula use.
* Experience leading and developing teams.
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends to meet tight deadlines.
* Desirable: Experience with defined benefit pension schemes or iTrent payroll systems.
