About the role Hours: 37.5 hours / Part-time considered Flexibility required around events and Time in lieu is offered for working outside of normal working hours. The Events Team is part of the ambitious Hospice Fundraising Team who have a reputation for delivering excellent events within our community, specifically the Sparkle Night Walk. This fast-paced team plan and deliver a varied calendar of events and this new post will focus on supporting fundraisers participating in externally organised events including the London Marathon, Great North Run and taking on challenges including skydives, etc. You will be responsible for developing and implementing supporter care plans to ensure all third party/challenge fundraisers are well supported throughout their fundraising journey. Lead on growing this income stream by close working with third party event organisers and clear supporter journey planning. You will work closely with the wider team, utilising each other’s skills to ensure the very best supporter care and that all opportunities for income generation are maximised. This post will support the overall Events Team function, taking a lead role at Hospice organised events and work collaboratively with the wider hospice teams. As the Challenge Events Fundraiser you will play a key role in the Income Generation Team, acquiring and retaining supporters. You will be passionate about the provision of high-quality care and committed to the Hospice values with an ability to inspire, motivate and empower those around you. About you: You will be someone passionate and committed who is keen to make a difference to those living with life-limiting illnesses. You work well and thrive in a busy team environment in which the whole Income Generation team support each other to achieve targets. You will have excellent relationship management skills and be highly organised to conduct research, manage multiple fundraisers and develop this income stream. you will have proven experience in a customer/supporter facing role and experience developing and managing supporter journeys. Skills and experience required: This individual possesses strong time management, organisational, and financial skills, with a proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage budgets, and ensure accuracy. They excel in relationship management and effective communication at all levels, with extensive experience in the Third Sector, fundraising, and engaging donors, fundraisers, and corporate partners. Proficient in Microsoft Office, online giving platforms, and digital marketing, they are also knowledgeable in fundraising best practices and health and safety protocols. Their proactive, flexible approach, coupled with a commitment to hospice values, confidentiality, and attention to detail, ensures successful collaboration across teams and departments.
