We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Podiatrist to join our friendly and supportive Podiatry team. This role will offer the opportunity to use and develop your professional clinical MSK Podiatry skills and experience. As an Advanced MSK Podiatrist, you will work with a small team of MSK Podiatrists, supporting the safe and effective provision of care. Clinical sessions will include assessing and treating a range of podiatric msk pathologies, utilising appropriate assessment and treatment options (e.g. referrals for radiological investigations, provision of exercise programmes, cortico-steroid injections, etc.), all underpinned by providing patient self-management support. You will help plan and undertake service improvements and team learning and development, helping to support and develop the MSK Podiatry team and the MSK aspects of the Podiatry service as a whole. We have excellent links with Physiotherapy, Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultants, Radiology and CMATS staff, all working together to plan and deliver forward-thinking musculoskeletal clinical services. Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for- Managing a complex and advanced specialist clinical caseload of Musculoskeletal Podiatry patients. - Supporting and facilitating the development of Musculoskeletal Podiatry services across the Health Board.- Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and development of care programs for musculoskeletal podiatry referrals.- Supervision and training of podiatrists, podiatry assistants and student podiatrists in specialist area.- Research and clinical audit in specialist area.
