Booker Group is seeking a Legal Administrator to support our fast-paced and dynamic legal department.We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background, the ability to work under pressure, and a keen eye for accuracy to support the team in delivering a first-class legal service.
As a Legal Administrator, you will be based in our Head Office - Equity House in Wellingborough, Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices. You will play a key part in managing legal documentation, coordinating internal and external communications, and providing essential support to the legal team.
* Carrying out routine administrative tasks, including managing legal correspondence, liaising with courts, legal representatives, and third parties.
* Process requests from external legal advisors for colleague wage and absence reports related to Employer Liability Personal Injury Claims, ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
* Monitor the Booker Group General Information Email Account, directing enquiries to the appropriate colleague for further action.
* Handle the receipt, opening, and distribution of daily post.
* Process invoices related to legal claims and services.
* Manage incoming requests or calls from the wider business, third parties, or the public regarding legal matters and queries.
* Assist with Subject Access Requests and general GDPR administration.
* Respond to routine legal queries from branches and the wider business.
* Support the legal team with reporting and administrative tasks related to compliance programmes, including but not limited to Money Laundering and Anti-Bribery Due Diligence.
* Provide general administrative support to the legal team, assisting with ad-hoc duties as required.
* Strong knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and compliance requirements.
* Ability to assess risks effectively and make sound judgements.
* Capable of working independently with integrity and professionalism.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) with the ability to use them effectively in a professional setting.
* Willingness to embrace IT systems and technology to streamline processes, standardise information management, and support data analysis within the legal team.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management.
