About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be an integral part of a passionate, transdisciplinary team of Therapists, Nurses, and Support Workers. Together, they aim to deliver the best outcomes for their students, providing support that transforms lives.
Your Daily Impact Will Include:
* Putting our students at the heart of everything they do.
* Creating a safe, encouraging learning environment where students can achieve their full potential.
* Using personalised approaches to help students access learning, both 1:1 and in groups.
* Assisting Tutors in delivering engaging lessons.
* Tracking and celebrating students' achievements.
* Planning and coordinating exciting outings and day trips.
* Supporting the smooth running of the College with essential administrative tasks.
About You
Do you share their passion for supporting young people? If you possess the following qualities, we'd love to hear from you:
* A strong desire to support children and young adults (19-25 years old) with special needs.
* Creativity in coming up with new ideas to engage students.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
* Initiative and problem-solving skills in challenging situations.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A commitment to working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (with funding provided if needed).
* Experience in a classroom setting, with a knack for tracking and recording students' progress.
* Ideally, knowledge of Autism, Epilepsy, and PMLD.
