We are looking for a resilient, compassionate individual to manage a team of Senior’s and Case Workers working across our new Safe Haven and Crisis Support Team.Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you live locally to Whitehaven and are able to travel across Copeland.About the roleAs a Team Manager, you will Manage the Whitehaven Safe Haven/ Crisis Support Team, including providing day to day support and leadership to the Team, managing the resources, support networks and public relations within and relating to the service.You will take a lead role in collaborating with services to ensure the assessment processes operated result in safe service delivery and appropriate escalation where required. You will work with other providers to ensure that the role of the team is clearly understood within the mental health system and the team have awareness of other providers so referrals that do not meet the service criteria are introduced toother services and vice versa.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the team of up to 9 staff (Case Workers/Senior Case Workers) to deliver a service in line with commissioned contracts and relevant quality standards, to meet SLAs and KPIs.Build, develop and maintain relationships with statutory and voluntary services, both mainstream and specialist, as a means of promoting work, education and leisure opportunities for people when entering the service to support and further develop the existing services.Manage the service to ensure good support and nonclinical supervision systems are in place and adhered to, in order to meet the needs of the service.Maintain and establish (new and existing) pathways between statutory and VCSE services, to support the client journey.Provide quarterly reports for the commissioners to provide the necessary collation and analysis of data to support performance monitoring and KPIs in order to enhance the services and meet contractual requirements.Coordinate with the Service Manager to ensure robust risk, personal safety and information sharing processes are in place and adhered to by the staff team to provide safe and high quality care.Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.About youSignificant experience of managing a team including associated HR processSignificant experience working in a health or social care settingSignificant experience of working with people that have either severe mental illness or complex health conditionSignificant experience of working to set targets / KPIs for commissioned or statutory servicesSignificant experience of using information to create data driven decision makingSignificant experience of improving services to meet client needsSignificant experience of managing riskSignificant experience of working within health, social care or VCSE systemsUnderstanding of challenges and barriers in accessing servicesDetailed understanding of safeguarding proceduresUnderstanding of risk management in a crisis serviceUnderstanding of recovery in the context of mental healthUnderstanding of the effects of stigma and discriminationWhat we offer in returnWe are proud to have been recognised and certified as a Great Place to Work, which speaks volumes on how much we value our staff members.
