Key Account Manager

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (plus commission)
Our client is a leading Business Finance Lender, providing flexible finance solutions tailored to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK. They offer innovative financial products designed to help businesses thrive.
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and growing relationships. You'll ensure client satisfaction, drive revenue growth, and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional financial products. This position requires a client-focused, proactive approach with a deep understanding of SME needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
2. Understand each client's business challenges and provide bespoke finance solutions to meet their goals.
3. Drive account revenue through upselling and cross-selling financial products, hitting sales targets.
4. Ensure high client retention by providing excellent service and anticipating future needs.
5. Address client concerns swiftly and effectively to maintain satisfaction.
6. Work closely with internal teams such as underwriting and credit to ensure smooth application processing and excellent client service.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to provide relevant, competitive solutions.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in account management, ideally within the finance or SME lending sector.
2. Strong relationship-building skills and a client-focused approach.
3. Ability to identify and act on upselling opportunities.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and commercial acumen.
5. Experience working with CRM systems and data-driven account management.
