About the Company Our client is a not-for-profit organisation that works with the police, local authorities and the government to reduce crime across the UK. About the Role This newly created role will form a key part of the marketing team and will support the planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s media, social media and digital delivery across its range of initiatives. Responsibilities Support the development of awareness across the suite of brands to the Police Service, key stakeholders, businesses and general public Write press releases and editorial copy for many audiences and platforms, augmenting with images as appropriate Write bespoke content for e-newsletters, leaflets, brochures & targeted communications Source case studies for proactive publication, identifying relevant target media Create engaging content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media Draft content for marketing materials to support key initiatives (i.e. leaflets, brochures) Lead on allocated communications projects and deliver them Attend industry events and exhibitions nationwide, supporting your colleagues and supporting the communication of brand messages Qualifications The ideal Communications Officer will have previous experience in a similar sector, government or not for profit, although private sector will also be considered. You will be adept at composing press releases, briefing notes and devising communications strategies from scratch and be used to working in an ever-changing pace. You will ideally be educated to degree level and/or will have at least two years’ relevant work experience in a communications team with a media and digital focus. Required Skills The role can be fully remote or, should you prefer, you can spend 1-2 days per week in their office near Victoria. You should be able to travel to occasional events where possible. Pay range and compensation package Salary is dependent on experience.
