We currently have a 36-hour Social Care Practitioner vacancy within our Limecroft Care Home based in Livingston. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team to provide high-quality care and support to those living within the service.
You will lead a team of Social Care Support workers delivering personalised support to older people, which includes meeting all personal care needs, administration of medication, and ensuring the security and safety of those in your care and the building.

Some experience, which includes personal experience, is preferred but not essential, as we will offer you training to develop your skills and knowledge while doing the job. We expect you to demonstrate a commitment to your learning and will support you in completing SVQ 3.
A rotational shift system is in operation, which includes weekend working. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulates you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC, you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
