Electrical Estimator\n\nSheffield\nSalary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)\n\nAre you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking for a new opportunity? I am working with a well-established commercial interiors company that is seeking a skilled professional to join their team. This is a fully office-based role located on the outskirts of Sheffield, easily accessible by public transport from the city centre.
The company works on a variety of projects, ranging from minor works (£200) to large-scale contracts (£1M) for major clients, including Cleggs Construction (£100M+ turnover), AMEY (£2.8B+ turnover), and CBRE (£30B+ turnover).\n\nThe ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with experience in electrical estimating and must be located within a one-hour commute of Sheffield.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexity.\n\n * Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce competitive quotations.\n\n * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.\n\n * Collaborate with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.\n\n * Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations.\n\n * Present detailed proposals to internal and external stakeholders.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).\n\n * Experience in Electrical Estimating – ideally within commercial and industrial projects.\n\n * Strong knowledge of electrical installation methods, materials, and costs.\n\n * Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical specifications.\n\n * Strong communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and clients.\n\n * Must be located within a one-hour commute of Sheffield.\n\n * Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tenders.\n\nWhy Apply?\n\n * Work with a company that has built strong long-term client relationships.\n\n * Be part of a business delivering projects of varying complexity and value.\n\n * Competitive salary up to £55,000, depending on experience.\n\n * Stable, office-based role in a collaborative and supportive environment.\n\nIf you meet the criteria and are looking for your next opportunity in electrical estimating, I’d love to hear from you
