Senior UX Design Manager - c£90000-100000 large bonus strong benefits - please consider on the basis of 1-2 days a week in the office We are partnering with a global business to make their first UX design management role. Your team will be responsible for recommendations for product development using design thinking techniques to understand the customer need and testing ideas with customers. You will present recommendations to business customers and Product Owners to take into delivery to deliver the business benefits. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the UX/UI Standards across the board, building common ways of working using best practice techniques and building their internal capability and team in a fast paced complex environment. You team will design products, services and experiences using a design thinking approach, using techniques such as user interviews, surveys, and focus groups to understand the customer experience, empathise with needs and create solutions. You will be an advocate for the end user or customer, ensuring the best user experience. Your team will create personas representing the customers, maps the process flows and the experience for personas. You will come up with solutions, using techniques to rapidly generate ideas, and select those to be further developed and improved. What we are looking for is someone who can take the lead on projects, setting standards across the team and showing/establishing “What good looks like” to create a standard level which has to be adhered too. The current team is small as they have traditionally been heavily outsourced so you will start the journey to more internal capability. This is not a role for someone looking to step up into their first management role, you will need to have proven experience working in large end user / FTSE organisations (ideally retail sector) but this could have been when you were previously a UX / user researcher. You will either be a manager or head of UX in your current role.
