The Opportunity
We seek a dedicated Bridge Engineer to join BEAR Scotland’s Bridges Team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and functionality of some of Scotland’s most iconic structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and Management: Inspecting, investigating, and designing bridge maintenance projects.
* Project Delivery: Managing maintenance works, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to CDM regulations and environmental standards.
* Collaboration: Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
* Progression: Developing your career through an ICE-accredited training scheme, tailored to help you achieve professional qualifications.
Your Skills and Experience
We are interested in hearing from candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
Essential:
* A degree in Civil Engineering.
* Relevant experience in bridge or structural projects.
* A working knowledge of design standards, including DMRB, MCHW, and Eurocodes.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* A valid UK driving licence.
