Job Description
DCT Recruitment are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project in Deeside. This is an ongoing contract up to 2 years.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage all electrical installations on-site.
2. Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with design drawings, project specifications, and work schedule.
3. Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
4. Conduct inspections to verify compliance with design and engineering standards.
5. Identify material needs on-site in a timely manner, inform the Site Chief, and perform warehouse controls regularly.
6. Continuously check the man-hour values related to the construction works.
7. Submit daily progress reports with attachments to the Site Chief.
8. Inform the Site Chief about material, manpower, and site issues in a timely manner to assist in taking necessary precautions.
9. Check defects or incomplete works on-site reported by the Client, take preventive or corrective actions against potential issues, and report the situation to the Site Chief where no solution has been achieved.
10. Enforce and promote strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the construction site.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience working on large-scale construction projects in sectors like oil and gas, water treatment, power, or heavy industry.
3. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
4. NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferable.
5. Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
6. Valid equivalent CSCS Card.
Salary: £350-£400 per day CIS.
