The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs across a wide range of equipment at our large manufacturing site. You’ll work 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00), totaling 84 hours per fortnight, including alternate weekends. Your role will involve ensuring efficient operations, responding to breakdowns, and maintaining accurate records.

What’s Required?
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:
1. Strong experience in a production engineering role
2. Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
3. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools is desired
4. Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) is advantageous
Responsibilities include:
1. Conducting planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections
2. Fault finding and diagnostics during breakdowns and planned maintenance
3. Ensuring all breakdowns are dealt with efficiently while maintaining PPM schedules
4. Responding to unplanned maintenance issues to minimise downtime
5. Keeping accurate records and documentation to a high standard
6. Following strict EHS and company practices
