Overall aim of the job: The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section within the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard, in line with the hotel s menu, quality, and hygiene standards. This position requires a strong culinary skill set, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen and the satisfaction of guests. Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient operation. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation. Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Support junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to ensure their development. Work closely with the Sous Chef to plan menus and ensure consistency. Skills & Competencies: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques. Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently. Team-oriented with excellent communication skills. High standards of cleanliness and food safety.
