This is a fulltime permanent position offeringthe chance to effectively manage and coordinate environmentalactivities both at the company and on client sites. Reporting tothe company Directors you will ensure that all environmentaltargets and activities are achieved in a timelymanner.

Asan Environmental Officer you will provide crucial support to thecontracts and construction team by producing and deliveringEnvironmental Plans to ensure full compliance with contracts. Youwill support the improvement of the company s Quality Safety andEnvironmental culture by maintaining and enhancing the UKASaccredited ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. This roleinvolves close collaboration with the management team clients andproject stakeholders to achieve contract aims develop processes andimplement good compliance managementpractices.
KeyResponsibilities:
1.Train anddevelop the team regarding the Integrated Management System (IMS)and legislativerequirements.
2.Manage andmaintain an audit regime for statutory and environmentalcompliance.
3.Ensure all staffare aware of and comply with environmental systems of work andprovide sufficienttraining.
4.Produce anddeliver Environmental Plans monitoring these to support operationalobjectives.
5.Liaise with alllevels of personnel and relevant external agencies on environmentalmatters to facilitate siteimprovements.
6.Work withDirectors and the Contracts Team to foster a positive environmentalculture within thecompany.
7.Lead in theverification of legalcompliance.
8.Produce anddeliver environmental calendar events ensuring consistency andcontinuousimprovement.
9.Continuouslymonitor and audit environmental systems and procedures for allsites updating and revising asnecessary.
10.Manage the AuditProgramme to monitor compliance and maintain external accreditationrequirements.
11.Mentor managersin the IMS System to maintain compliance identify trends andencourage performanceimprovements.
12.Support thebusiness with complex/highrisk environmental issues through adviceandcoaching.
13.Assist withenvironmental consents and permits applications andnotifications.
14.Assist with theproduction of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for allworkactivities.
15.Provide detailedmonthly reports to inform management about shaping environmentalstrategy policy and productdevelopment.
16.Support andencourage positive employee communication processes buildingconstructive working relationships and leading or supportingmeetings asrequired.
Requirements
Experience:
Theideal candidate will have the followingexperience:
IEMA FoundationCertificate in EnvironmentalManagement.
310years of experience in thefield.
Excellentunderstanding of the gas and oil industry(preferred).
Qualification/Experiencewith CDM 2015Regulations.
Experience in acomplex commercial multidivisionalorganization.
Solid anduptodate knowledge of practical environmental principles andlegislation.
Experience withISO 14001audits.
Indepthknowledge of statutorycompliance.
Detailedunderstanding of Environmental Managementsystems.
Solidunderstanding of construction and projectrelated safetyaspects.
Ability to dealwith people at alllevels.

Experience: The ideal candidate will have the following experience:IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management. 3-10 yearsof experience in the field. Excellent understanding of the gas andoil industry (preferred). Qualification/Experience with CDM 2015Regulations. Experience in a complex, commercial, multi-divisionalorganization. Solid and up-to-date knowledge of practicalenvironmental principles and legislation. Experience with ISO 14001audits. In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance. Detailedunderstanding of Environmental Management systems. Solidunderstanding of construction and project-related safety aspects.Ability to deal with people at all levels. Skills & PersonalQualities: The successful candidate should hold a full UK drivinglicense and demonstrate the following: Understanding of coreenvironmental principles and regulations.
