More detail about the role: The apprenticeship is a 39 month programme of work based learning that is directly related to the apprenticeship standard. In addition, the apprenticeship has a mandatory 20% off-the-job learning which is provided as weekly day release. The University-based Honours degree study is also linked to the Apprenticeship Standard. Successful applicants will start as a theatre support worker (TSW) from June 2025 prior to the actual apprentice start date in September 2025. Eligibility You will need to have an understanding of the scope of the role of the ODP in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development. You will treat people with dignity, respecting individual's diversity, beliefs, culture, needs, values, privacy and preferences. You will show respect and empathy for those you work with, have the courage to challenge areas of concern and work to evidence based best practice. You will also be adaptable, reflective, reliable and consistent, show discretion, resilience, self-awareness, demonstrate leadership, communicate effectively and work well in a team. You must be able to meet the following criteria: Completion of the care certificate, which can be done in the period you will be a TSW from June if you havent already achieved it. 112 UCAS points which includes GCSE Maths, English and one other at grade 4 or higher. Applicants currently undertaking qualifications will be considered if they are completed before the course start date in September and they may be offered a conditional offer. The academic part of the training will be provided by Birmingham City University (South West) based in Exeter On successful completion of the programme you will be equipped with the appropriate knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours to ensure competence at the point of qualification. You will have the capability to continue to meet Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) regulatory standards throughout your professional career. To be eligible for Government funded Apprenticeships, you should also have lived within the UK or EU for at least the last 3 years. If you are successful at shortlisting, you will be invited to attend a tour of the department and meet the management team. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week over 4 days Interview Date: You will need to be available all day for an assessment and interview on either Monday 3rd or Tuesday 4th March 2025.
