We are looking for a Band 2 Health Care Assistant who will work within the Sexual Health and HIV service. Duties to include chaperone for procedures, assisting with STI screening and supporting HIV clinics. Full training will be given to the right candidate. Phlebotomy skills essential. Experience of working in a sexual health clinic is desirable.
You will need to have basic numeracy and literacy skills, must have a non-judgmental attitude, thrive in a challenging environment, demonstrate a willingness to learn, be a self-motivated role model, and an excellent communicator with good time-management and team-building skills. Experience of working in sexual health or possession of an NVQ level 2 or 3 would be an advantage. Must have a full driving license and be a car owner. Must be flexible in working hours and will be required to work from multiple sites.

1. Assist clinicians in carrying out STI screening
2. Taking Pregnancy tests
3. Restocking and ordering stocks
4. Safety and accurately undertake urinalysis
5. Safety and accurately measure and record blood pressure
6. Ensure privacy and dignity are maintained at all times and protect confidential information.
