IT Technician - Burnley Your new company You will be joining a college in the Lancashire town of Burnley. They have students from the age of 11-18. They are one of the largest 11-16 secondary schools in Lancashire, with 1500 students on roll. They have traditional values with annotative approaches to learning and fantastic facilities. Your new role They are looking to appoint a dedicated and organised IT Technician to join the network team. You will support the use of IT across the college and ensure that the ICT systems operate efficiently and effectively. As an IT technician for the college, you will be working in a team supporting the staff and students, providing 1st and 2nd line support to ensure administration and learning outcomes are maximised. You will be maintaining ICT Software, hardware and related equipment such as computers, printers and smartboards. You will be providing IT support to end users for OFFICE 365 applications such as work, spreadsheets, database and emails. You will be creating new user accounts and be assigned appropriate permissions, also editing staff and students assigned passwords. You may also be required for college as events when required. It will be Grade 4-5 (scale points 4 – 11) £23,114 to £25,979 FTE (pro rata £19,545 - £21,967) The hours are 37 hours per week. 38 weeks per year. 08:15 – 1:15 Monday to Thursday, 08:15 – 15:45 Friday. These hours include a 30-minute unpaid break.
