We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated salaried GPto join us, working 5 sessions of 10 appointments per week over 2.5 days (TueAM & PM, Thu AM and Fri AM & PM). This will allow the post-holder tohave the option of increasing their income stream by taking on medical studentsand have the opportunity of developing additional services. Salary will be £10kper session per year to start, depending on experience. 6 weeks paid annualleave and one week's paid study leave pro rata with NHS pension in addition.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will include a mix of face to face and telephoneconsultations, booked both by the Admin team, who follow the pathways of a CareNavigation software package, to ensure standardized and appropriate booking andalso by the Duty Doctor from their Same Day Triage. The post-holder will alsohave a Duty Day, one per calendar week (occasionally covering for anothercolleague on Annual Leave) on a rotation basis. All practice patients have a"Usual Doctor" who is responsible for prescribing, incoming correspondence,results and private work for those patients. The "Usual Doctor"allocated list numbers are based on a pro rata share of the whole populationbased on the number of sessions worked.

We are a GMS practice operating from purpose built modern premises withparking and a growing list size of approximately 6000 patients, of a variedcultural and socio-economic mix, using Emis Web, AccuRx, and Docman clinicalsystems. Our CQC rating is Good. As well as regular contact and good workingrelationships with our neighbouring practices in our PCN (Didsbury, ChorltonPark and Burnage), Community Services, District Nurse and Macmillan teams, wehave regular weekly sessions scheduled in-house with a Mental HealthPractitioner and a Physiotherapist.

2 GP Partners and 2 Salaried GPs
1 Practice Nurse and 1 Healthcare Assistant

Home Visits (low in number - apportioned by the Duty Doctor)
Paperwork, Correspondence, Results & Tasks in residual session time
Duty Doctor days - 1 per week on rotation Tuesday or Friday (although ifcolleague on Annual Leave, may be both on occasion) - include 23 Same DayTriage telephone calls for action, delegating to colleagues, providingsupport/debrief time to GPST1, FY2 and PA in the afternoon with the cases theyhave been delegated and 2 NHS111/NWAS bookable telephone call slots.

Mandatory Training e.g. Basic Life Support Training and SafeguardingTraining (If first Level 3 post, minimum of 8 Hours Adult Safeguarding Initialtraining and 16 hours of Child Safeguarding Initial training in first 12 monthsto be accessed/provided during normal working hours, or if already achieved, 8hours of Adult Safeguarding Refresher training and 12 hours Child SafeguardingRefresher training over a rolling period of 3 years to be accessed/providedduring CPD allocated time.)

Qualifications
* GMC Registered, CCT completed and entry onto the Performers' List required.
* Experience of using Emis Web and Docman 10 will be helpful but not essential
Experience
* Experience of working with a varied team and a varied patient group as this will match our practice and its patients.
* Experience of working in a Manchester practice would be helpful but not essential.
