About the role:
As the Assistant Principal, Partnerships and Skills, you will play a significant strategic role in leading and developing the College’s external partnerships, including those with schools, universities, employers, international partners and alumni. This role will also lead the College’s contribution to the skills agenda and serve as the Ofsted nominee for skills during inspections. Additionally, the role will oversee the work of the Marketing team.
Principal responsibilities as our Assistant Principal, Partnerships and Skills include:
3. Keeping up to date with, and strategically sharing with appropriate parties, information about the local, regional and national labour market needs, to help ensure that the College curriculum is matched to local and regional skills needs.
4. Working with the Business Development Manager to develop and foster excellent employer engagement and community links ensuring that the College continues to develop the portfolio of employers it works with.
5. Overseeing the successful development and implementation of the College’s work experience offer and Internship Programme.
6. Providing effective strategic leadership to, and co-ordination of all school liaison and admissions activity.
7. Ensuring the efficient running of the College’s admissions systems and processes.
8. Having overarching responsibility for effective careers activity alongside the successful progression and destinations of students in all provision types.
9. Providing strategic leadership to the development of our International Programmes ensuring that the needs of international students and international partners abroad are met.
10. Working together with the Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure alignment of marketing activity with the College’s strategic goals.
11. Taking a full and active role in the planning and delivery of the College’s Strategic Plan, regularly monitoring progress towards its achievement in areas of responsibility.
