This role is within OVO’s Energy function, specifically in the Value area of the Energy Economics team, supporting Zero Carbon Living initiatives.
This role in a nutshell:
You’ll collaborate with various teams to provide reporting and analysis that drive commercial decisions and maintain value across tariffs and propositions. You will lead complex change initiatives.
Key outcomes include:
* Supporting business cases for ventures like EV charging, heat pumps, solar export, etc.
* Influencing pricing strategies and tariffs.
* Developing models to assess the value of new tariffs and propositions.
* Building relationships across teams to share information, identify risks, and develop processes.
* Maintaining insightful risk and margin reports to aid decision-making.
* Supporting price changes and tariff optimization processes.
Systems used:
* Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, SQL), Tableau, Github
Ideal candidate:
* 2+ years in a commercial, analytical, or science-based role.
* Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder influence skills.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
* Quick learner with strong data manipulation skills.
* Attention to detail and excellent communication.
* Self-starter, autonomous and collaborative.
* Experience with BigQuery/SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau.
