Position: Operations Manager
Location: St George's University of London Hospital - London
Hours: 40 Hours, 7am - 4pm, with paid breaks
Role: Full Time
Shift Pattern: 5 working days over a 7-day week
Mitie have a brand new opportunity within the team for an Operations Manager to help support operational business plans to improve service quality, profitability and staff engagement at the St George's University of London Hospital.
* Responsible for all staffing related activities, ensuring the effective deployment of staff within budgetary constraints to provide the contracted service to the Trust.
* Review reports relating to the services response times and ensure that ongoing service improvements are recommended as a result of changing Trust activity.
* Manage and control contractors in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst ensuring compliance and delivery of a cost-effective service as set out in the Commercial Agreements.
* Manage small works and intermediate projects as set out by the Contract Manager or Director of Healthcare.
* Ensure the provision and delivery of services meet/exceed the standards defined in the Service Level Agreement and are aligned with the client's Property strategies.
* Manage the contract in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and ensure that two-way communications are in place and effective with the Site Customer, NHS Team and Sub-contractors.
* Establish and manage the operational budgets for all services delivered and managed by Mitie.
* Manage the financial requirements and monitor performance against the set budget.
* Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by individuals, teams and self and provide and organise information for action.
* Ensure that the contractual elements relating to the services are understood by all the team and that SLAs are achieved.

* Excellent communication with teams and clients.
* Experience working in a Healthcare or Cleaning setting.
* Experience walking sites/floors to support teams.
* A driven, enthusiastic and persevering personality.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence effectively at all levels. The role will require maturity of thought, confidence and credibility to challenge and influence individual thinking whilst maintaining good working relationships with the senior management team.
* Fully capable of understanding and maintaining confidentiality across the site and respecting the needs of all stakeholders.
* Works well under pressure to meet challenging deadlines for both operational and people aspects of their roles.
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage costs and ensure budgets are met.
* Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
