We are currently seeking hourly-paid SEND Support Assistants to join The Bedford College Group at our Bedford College Campus.
As an hourly-paid SEND Support Assistant you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. providing support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to access learning in line with their identified needs
2. providing overall care of the student and enable him/her to access the college facilities and develop independence within the wider community.
3. being an active member of the Additional Support Team and to assist in the development of individual programmes and the assessment of student progress.
Ideal candidates will have experience of of providing support to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in an educational or care setting, alongside the following qualifications:

What is an Associate?
Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
