As an SEN Support Staff member, you will play a key role in providing one-to-one and group support for students with SEN, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Assisting teachers in the delivery of tailored lessons and activities for students with special educational needs.
* Offering emotional, social, and behavioural support to ensure students are engaged and supported throughout the school day.
* Providing personal care and assisting with daily routines where needed.
* Building strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
* Supporting the development of students' social skills, self-confidence, and independence.
We are looking for someone with the following qualities and experience:
* Nurturing and Caring: You must have a genuine passion for helping students with SEN and possess a warm, empathetic nature.
* Patient and Adaptable: Working with students with diverse needs requires patience and flexibility in your approach.
* Experience in SEN (Preferred but NOT essential): While experience is valued, it's not essential. We're open to candidates with a genuine interest in developing their skills in this rewarding area of education.
* Excellent Communication Skills: You should be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families.
* Team Player: You will be working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, so being able to collaborate effectively is key.
