The Role:
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for our insurance sector client. You will work closely with architects, developers, and DevOps teams to ensure a seamless transition to AWS, applying best practices for security, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and deploy AWS cloud solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate and modernize applications to AWS.
3. Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
4. Optimize cloud performance, cost, and security using AWS-native services and best practices.
5. Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve operational efficiency.
6. Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and ensure high availability of systems.
7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and client teams.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, etc.).
2. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
3. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
4. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
5. Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud governance principles.
6. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).
7. Previous experience working in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries (preferred).
8. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) are a plus.
