Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's health and wellbeing through sport and physical activity?
We are seeking enthusiastic casual lead coaches to deliver a range of engaging sessions designed to get individuals of all ages and abilities more active across the East Riding.
As a casual lead coach, you will deliver a range of fun and engaging sessions in various community settings such as schools, beaches, leisure centres, and village halls.
Your work will involve:
1. Positive lifestyle programme – planning and facilitating activities for young people to reduce anti-social behaviour, build confidence and promote physical activity.
2. Healthy schools programme – delivering fun and active sessions within schools.
3. Community sessions – engaging young people, adults and vulnerable groups as part of the promoting independence and community build programmes.
4. Active coast programme – leading a variety of sessions, such as beach sports, multi-sports, and family boot camp sessions.
5. Additional duties – developing session plans, completing participant registrations and health and safety checks, and recording session feedback.
We are looking for individuals who believe in the power of physical activity to improve health and wellbeing.
Ideal candidates will have:
6. A flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach to delivering sport and physical activities.
7. A level 2 qualification in sport, fitness, youth work, play work or an equivalent field.
8. Recent (within the last 3 years) safeguarding and emergency first aid qualifications.
9. Experience in delivering activities across various settings such as schools, leisure centres and community venues.
10. Experience working with diverse groups including young people, families, adults and vulnerable individuals.
11. Excellent communication and time management skills.
12. Flexibility to work daytime, evenings and weekends as needed.
13. A full driving licence and access to a car to attend sessions across the East Riding.
14. Commitment to safeguarding.
Applications for this role will be reviewed on a continuous basis prior to the vacancy closing date. Interviews and practical assessments will be carried out as and when various sessions are already scheduled to take place, this will be on various dates throughout the period 1st August to 6th September 2024.
