Health and Safety Manager
Location: Sites at Manchester Airport, Derby, Corby, Kettering, and Grimsby
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + package
Start Date: Approx. 3 weeks from now
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Travel & Accommodation: Travel between sites required. Overnight stays when necessary, with hotel or digs provided and mileage reimbursed.
My client is a leading company specialising in composite panels, interiors, and exterior white walls and cladding, seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health and safety practices across multiple sites, including Manchester Airport, Derby, Corby, Kettering, and Grimsby.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Health & Safety Oversight: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all staff and contractors across multiple sites.
2. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
3. Risk Assessments & Method Statements: Provide expert guidance on risk assessments and method statements to maintain a safe working environment.
4. Training & Development: Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to raise awareness and enhance site safety.
5. Incident Reporting: Monitor and manage incident reporting, accident investigations, and near-miss reporting to continuously improve safety measures.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with the latest health and safety legislation, including the CSCS and NEBOSH standards.
7. Liaison: Work closely with site managers and other teams to maintain a strong health and safety culture and improve site safety standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
1. CSCS Card (Health & Safety)
2. NEBOSH Certificate (or higher qualification)
3. Proven experience in Health & Safety management, ideally within the construction or building industry (composite panels, interiors, cladding, etc.)
4. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices
5. Ability to travel regularly between sites and stay overnight when required
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with teams at all levels.
Additional Information:
The sites include Manchester Airport (work on this site will continue until September), as well as locations in Derby, Corby, Kettering, and Grimsby. Travel and accommodation will be covered, and mileage will be reimbursed where required.

£50,000 - £60,000 per year
