We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Summergrove Vets (part of Summerhill group). You will be sole charge, supported by our experienced RVN, 2 Receptionists, a Care Assistant, a Supervisor and a Practice Manager. As you will be part of a larger group, you will always have access to a wealth of expertise and experience (including certificate holders).
Duties include:
* Examining and observing animals to diagnose health problems and assess their health
* Performing laboratory tests on samples and specimens
* Dressing and treating wounds, performing surgery and prescribing medication
* Testing for diseases and administering vaccinations
* Performing ultrasound and diagnostic imaging tests
* Advising animal owners on preventive healthcare, general care and nutrition
* Spaying and neutering dogs and cats
* Maintaining medical records of animals

You will be joining our Summerview clinic, part of a group of 8 practices based in South Wales. We are in a fantastic location, in the heart of the Malpas community, just off the motorway with easy access to Bristol, Cardiff and Newport. We are also situated near local amenities with parking outside the practice.

The ideal candidate will be confident in their abilities as a medical and surgical practitioner, MRCVS qualification, happy to drive and develop the practice. Utilise the team to provide excellent customer service and patient care.
