Boots Online Doctor is an online healthcare platform that connects patients with qualified medical professionals. We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and focus on improving the customer-facing elements of the system and test automation framework.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll help ensure our application runs smoothly by identifying and supporting resolution of defects. You will also play an essential role in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test scripts using tools like Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or other testing frameworks and libraries. Teamwork is key, therefore you’ll also be collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies and plans, and identifying areas for test automation. Other key responsibilities include:
* Developing and executing automated and manual tests, and analysing test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
* Creating and maintaining test data, and continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to ensure high-quality software.
* Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in test automation, and using this knowledge to improve and innovate testing practices.
* Providing regular reports and updates on test automation progress, coverage and results to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Participating in the code release process / cycle.
What you’ll need to have
These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.
* Several years end to end UI Test Automation experience.
* Experience with Back End Automation.
* A sound understanding of the systems development life cycle as it relates to testing activities.
* Understanding of the software development process.
* Experience using Git/Jenkins.
* Producing Test documentation on Confluence is a must.
* Writing Test Cases in BDD format and end to end testing, Regression testing.
* Process review, driving improvement and providing documentation where applicable.
* Clear, simple and concise verbal and written communication.
* Good experience working in an agile environment, collaborating with members in and outside of squads.
* Leading the QA effort within a squad, promoting quality and driving items to completion.
* Knowledge of project and task management tools like Jira, Confluence and confident in using MS Office / Google Workspace applications.

* Previous experience of using other tools like Selenium, Appium, Detox or other testing frameworks and libraries.
* Release management experience.
* Experience in building CI/CD Pipeline working with AWS technology.
