Job Title: Classroom Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter 2025 or September 2025 start
Contract: Full-time, permanent (part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

GSL Education are inviting applications from qualified and aspiring Classroom Teachers to join a well-established, forward-thinking primary school in Southampton. This opportunity is open for either an Easter or September 2025 start, with part-time arrangements considered for the right candidate.
Role Overview:
As a Classroom Teacher, you will take charge of a vibrant classroom where curiosity, creativity, and care are central to the learning experience. You will be responsible for delivering a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum, ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
* Support the academic and personal development of students through targeted interventions and formative assessment
* Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider staff to meet pupils' individual learning needs
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to encourage progress and wellbeing
* Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school improvement initiatives
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or ECT (Early Career Teacher) or Overseas-Trained Teachers with UK-recognised teaching credentials with a passion for teaching in a primary school setting.
* Proven experience as a Class Teacher (or suitable placements for ECTs) within a mainstream primary school.
* A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for primary education.
* Strong subject knowledge and a firm grasp of primary curriculum standards.
* A reflective and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to professional development and the success of every pupil.
* Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
