Job Title: Robotic Welding Technician

What you’ll be doing:
(Full training will be provided for each duty)
* Providing technical support during the implementation of new automated processes and completing setup and commissioning of new automated cells and semi-automatic welding equipment
* Carrying out fault analysis and remedial actions during system operation and performing robot and laser calibration routines
* Support training of Robot operators and welding personnel
* Understand, interpret and deploy robotic and weld related documents, e.g., robot and PLC controller programs, process procedures etc
* Ensure a high level of health and safety is maintained for all systems
* Performing statistical problem solving when necessary to develop and implement alternative solutions
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of ABB or other industrial robots and automated welding processes
* Basic understanding of the main welding processes typically used for submarine construction and a sound appreciation of weld quality
* Willingness and commitment to undertake training and courses relevant to the position
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required and to communicate effectively
* Awareness of off-line programming & simulation using Robot Studio or similar would be beneficial
