We are looking for an accomplished, dedicated person to join our Community Paediatric and Neurodisability team as a part-time locum. You will cover 7.2 PAs per week, initially offered for a 6-month period, with potential for extension based on mutual agreement.
You will have relevant training and experience in Community Paediatrics and/or Paediatric Neurodisability. You will provide out-patient assessments and ongoing care to children and young people, addressing concerns such as developmental delays, neurodevelopmental conditions, challenging behaviour, learning difficulties, growth issues, enuresis, constipation, emotional well-being, and other vulnerabilities.
You will work with a collaborative team, providing high-quality care and support for children, young people, and their families. The Community Paediatric department includes 8 Consultants, 5 Specialty Doctors, and Community Paediatric Trainees (core & grid), providing a range of services for children and young people.
The Neurodisability team consists of 5 Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist, 1 Specialty Doctor, neurodisability trainees (core & grid) and other specialists, delivering general and specialist neurodisability services.
You will be based at either Centenary House or Ryegate Children’s Centre, with clinics at additional locations like Northern General Hospital and Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
You will manage children and young people with developmental difficulties, disabilities, and complex vulnerabilities such as ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and continence issues like enuresis and constipation. You will have ongoing responsibility for patient care and department operations.
