This role is currently subject to receive bonus payment scheme of interim Inner-London 'cost-of-living' allowance. This is an additional £3000.00 payment over 12-months paid monthly as a taxable benefit (pro rata for part-time roles), subject to review end of March 2025. As part of the traineeship you will sit in the release and transfer team and will be shadowing given guidance and support working through the various aspects of the health and wellbeing role at HMP Brixton. The role will involve you supporting service users throughout their time in custody and in particular in the run up to release. Supporting them with addressing their substance misuse and re-intergrating back into the community. The team member you will be shadowing will help ensure you are receiving the training and development needed to become competent in the role. You will receive regular reviews to ensure that you stay on track to successfully complete the traineeship and undertake the compulsory therapy as part of the traineeship. Part of your time on the traineeship will be spent working, gaining the practical experience and part studying towards achieving the Level 2 qualification in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care that has been assigned (subject to criteria).
