We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Buildings Team. This role will support on a major commercial project in Cambridge.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. Control the cost management for project and provide financial reporting regularly.
2. Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Ensure all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
3. Assist in risk and opportunity management (with operations team) of known and newly identified risks and opportunities for best project return.
4. Prepare subcontract documentation, issue enquiries, and negotiate agreements including interim and final accounts.
5. Utilise and comply with company procedures in relation to commercial site procedures, systems, cost control, variations of contract and method of measurement.
6. Working knowledge of one or more forms of construction contracts i.e. JCT, NEC, Bespoke.
7. BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject.
8. Preferably qualified or working towards ICES or RICS accreditation.
9. Self-motivated and confident, financially astute with good communication skills.
10. SMSTS qualified with the relevant CSCS Card.
11. Proven track record working on projects of £80m plus.
