Role Description: As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will take on a strategic and leadership role, overseeing the successful delivery of complex roofing projects while ensuring full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. You will manage multiple contracts, from pre-construction through to project completion, working closely with both the site teams and line managers to ensure that all projects meet quality, performance, safety, and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the planning, execution, and completion of multiple roofing contracts, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance are maintained. Compile and gain approval of HSE documentation, including site-specific RAMS, before the start of each project. Monitor and enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and regulations on-site, particularly for subcontracted work. Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest industry regulations and best practices to ensure all projects are executed in accordance with them. Ensure the smooth and efficient management of contracts, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks or issues to safeguard project timelines and budgets. Oversee the performance and compliance of all ongoing projects, ensuring a detailed understanding of each project's scheme before execution. Lead and support site teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources, information, and support to deliver successful project outcomes. Develop and implement effective project strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cost control measures to optimise project margins. Regularly review the financial performance and status of contracts, providing updates to senior management. Attend adjudication meetings and ensure all necessary information is available at each project's handover stage. Conduct detailed Lessons Learned reviews at the end of each project to drive continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date with materials, specifications, and industry developments to ensure competitive advantage.What They Are Looking For: Significant management experience in the roofing industry, preferably as a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Manager. Proven track record of successfully managing complex roofing projects from pre-construction through to completion. In-depth knowledge of flat and felt roofing systems, industry standards, and best practices. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. A passion for continuous learning and professional growth in the construction and roofing industry. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.Essential Skills: Full clean UK driving license. Clean DBS check (required). Strong understanding of housing law and housing management. Valid CSCS card. Experience with working at heights. SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
