Play a key role in shaping IT procurement strategy for a high-profile public sector organisation. This role is pivotal in delivering value-driven sourcing strategies across IT subcategories, ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation. You'll lead strategic initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee a small team in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* IT Category Leadership: Lead strategic sourcing projects across IT subcategories, including hardware, software, cloud services, and telecommunications, ensuring best value and alignment with public sector priorities.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership and government bodies to drive procurement strategies that support long-term digital transformation and service delivery.
* Governance & Compliance: Ensure procurement processes align with public sector regulations, frameworks, and sustainability goals while proactively managing risk.
* Transformation & Innovation: Spearhead category management improvements, embedding best practices and leveraging market insights to enhance procurement effectiveness.
* Team Leadership: Support and develop a small, high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work culture.
