A mainstream school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting students and assisting with the smooth running of the school day. Key Responsibilities: Supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students are engaged and productive. Managing classroom behavior in accordance with the school’s policies. Supporting students with their learning and ensuring they follow instructions set by the absent teacher. Providing pastoral care and guidance to students as needed. Assisting in the preparation of resources and supporting teachers with classroom activities. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting, preferably as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or in a similar role. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students. A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to managing students. A passion for education and supporting student learning.
