Financial Planner and Analyst Financial Analyst FP&A based between the Forfar and Montrose offices within Energy Equipment Segment. Great opportunity to assist with all elements of Financial Planning and Analysis for 2 ledgers (UK and Baku), with a heavy focus on local business partnering. Financial Planning And Analysis: To assist with the financial planning and analysis tasks for 2 ledgers (UK and Baku) within Rig Aftermarket team, across various departments within the business. To assist the local management team with reporting, analysis, and presentation, as required, on actual, forecast and plan numbers. To review ongoing projects for the relevant Business Units and ensure timely and accurate revenue and cost recognition. To assist in the completion and review of monthly P&L and management reports and assist in the preparation of variance analysis to FP&A Manager. Prepare Labour recovery reconciliations for several Business units and assist FP&A manager with their review. To review aged WIP and provide commentary to the business to ensure Projects are being completed on a timely basis and to feed this into the accounting team for SOX purposes. To review and reconcile relevant Contract Assets and Liabilities sections, including ageing monitoring and commentary. Monthly working capital analysis and commentary. Monitor monthly Capex spend and forecast against budget. To assist with monthly Forecast and Annual Financial Plan preparation. Build good working relationship with other team members and Business partners. Proactively analyse cost trends within the departmental P&Ls To look for efficiencies and continuous improvement in systems and procedures in relation to FP&A, and reporting. Accounting Tasks: Performing accounting tasks for FP&A related areas and provide support to a wider Finance team in Rig Aftermarket, as required. Monthly journals preparation and posting relating to the FP&A areas. Balance sheet reconciliations Supporting wider business with information requests (external and internal auditors; tax; compliance; Statutory Accounting team, others) Dealing with AR and AP departments and related issues as an when required Support month- end close and subsequent reporting Other accounting and FP&A tasks as required. Qualifications: Essential: Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent Desirable: Professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA Experience: Essential: Experienced business partner working with non-financial management. Experience working within known ERP systems Desirable: Working within a financial / accounting environment of a larger entity - 3 years Experience of POC accounting methods Experience working within Oracle and Glovia ERP systems Skills Training or Special Knowledge: Essential: Microsoft Excel/ Word/ Power Point Excellent Excel skills Great Communication skills Excellent Analytical skills
